The WRA girls varsity lacrosse team held off a late surge to secure a 14–13 win over Thomas Worthington on April 4 at home.
WRA took an early 4–3 lead after the first quarter and created separation in the second, heading into halftime up 11–5. Thomas Worthington responded in the third, cutting the deficit to 12–10, and continued to apply pressure in the fourth. Despite the late push, the Pioneers held their composure to close out the one-goal victory.
Sass Huff '26 led the way with five goals and two assists while controlling 10 draws, helping WRA maintain possession throughout the game. Shiloh Nelson '29 added three goals and an assist, contributing key offensive support.
Ellie Flores '27 delivered an outstanding all-around performance with three goals, two assists, five ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Colleen McAlonie '27 added two goals and two assists, along with three ground balls and a draw control.
With the win, WRA continues to build momentum and will look ahead to its next matchup on April 7 at home against Medina.
