The WRA boys varsity tennis team delivered a commanding 4–1 victory over Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on April 17, controlling play from top to bottom in a performance that was even more decisive than the final score suggests.
At #1 singles, Griffin Vaughn '26 set the tone with a composed 6–0, 6–3 win, dictating points and never allowing his opponent to find a rhythm. Colin Si '27 followed with the most dominant performance of the day at #2 singles, earning a flawless 6–0, 6–0 victory.
WRA's only point conceded came at #3 singles due to a forfeit from a short-handed lineup.
In doubles play, the Pioneers left no doubt. The #1 team of Roberts Sartor '26 and Sanam Mody '26 cruised to a 6–0, 6–0 win with sharp net play and consistent pressure. The #2 doubles pairing of Alex Le Rouge '26 and Mekhi Hoyte '28 matched that effort, also rolling to a 6–0, 6–0 victory.
With the win, WRA carries strong momentum into its next match on Monday, April 20, on the road against University School.
