Western Reserve Academy Girls Lacrosse continued their winning streak in commanding fashion on April 24, defeating Wooster 18 – 4 at home.
The Pioneers wasted no time establishing control, jumping out to a 5 – 1 lead in the first quarter and stretching the margin to 11 – 1 by halftime. With momentum on their side, WRA cruised through the second half, showcasing a balanced offense and sharp defensive play.
Ellie Flores led the scoring charge with six goals and an assist, while Sass Huff added four goals, one assist, and nine draw controls. Katherine Becker and Avery Harris each tallied two goals, with Lydia Stropki and Mia Cruz also contributing to the scoreboard.
On the defensive end, Abbi Bernhardt recorded six saves and posted a 60% save percentage. The Pioneers dominated draw controls — winning 72% — with Flores and Huff combining for 16 of the team's total. WRA also scooped up 13 ground balls in a relentless team effort.
