Girls Lacrosse continued their impressive run on April 8, delivering a commanding 14 – 5 win over Chardon on the road. The Pioneers came out strong and never looked back, building a 5 – 2 lead after the first quarter and stretching it to 11 – 3 by halftime. Their dominance continued through the second half as they tightened up defensively and closed out the game in control.
Ellie Flores led the offensive charge with a standout performance, netting 5 goals and dishing out 2 assists. Sass Huff matched her goal total with 5 of her own and added 1 assist, while also owning the circle with 6 draw controls. Avery Harris added 2 goals and an assist, and both Leah Petras and Mia Cruz chipped in with a goal apiece.
On the defensive end, Abbi Bernhardt was solid in goal with 9 saves and a 64% save rate — anchoring a backline that held Chardon to just two second-half goals.
The Pioneers also controlled possession, winning 77% of draw controls. In addition to Huff's, Katherine Becker contributed 4 and Flores added another 4, helping to keep the ball in WRA's hands and the pressure on Chardon.
With this win, WRA continues to show balance, grit, and high-level execution on both sides of the field—extending their winning streak and building serious momentum heading into the heart of the season.
