The Western Reserve Academy Boys' and Girls' Swimming and Diving teams turned in an impressive all-around performance on Thursday afternoon, earning a clean sweep in their home dual meet against The Kiski School. The Pioneer girls secured a decisive 72–38 victory, while the boys edged out Kiski in a competitive 89–78 win.
On the girls' side, WRA was paced by standout performances across the pool and the diving board. Cindy Huang '27 led the way with first-place finishes in both the 50-yard freestyle (30.93) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:26.29). Lauren Keller '27 dominated the distance events, winning the 200-yard freestyle (2:55.47) and the 500-yard freestyle (8:09.84). Roxi Rubiano '28 made her mark in multiple events, earning a first-place score of 150.20 in diving and adding a win in the 100-yard freestyle (1:01.28).
The boys' meet showcased WRA's depth and strong relay execution. The Pioneers opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay before closing in emphatic fashion with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Individually, Alex Li '27 captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.70), while Jeffery Zhou '28 claimed the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:55.15.
With the sweep, the Pioneers continue to build momentum as the season progresses. WRA is back in action on Monday, January 12, when they travel to face Hudson in their next meet.
