The WRA Varsity Boys Soccer team kicked off their 2025 season in commanding fashion with a 5–0 road victory over St. Edward's High School on September 3. The Pioneers set the tone early, taking a 2–0 lead into halftime before adding three more goals in the second half to secure the shutout win.
The attack was balanced and dangerous throughout the match. Max Born '26 and Leo Chu '27 each scored twice, while Mason Rodgers '26 added another goal to round out the scoring. The play making was equally impressive, with Tomas Estevez '26 providing two assists and Josh LeBlanc '28 adding another. Defensively, WRA held strong and limited St. Edward's to just two shots on goal. Goalkeepers Brendan Restorick '26 and Nishan Dakwar '26 combined for the clean sheet, with Dakwar making two saves in the second half.
With three different players finding the back of the net and a consistent defensive effort, the Pioneers demonstrated both versatility and depth in their season opener.
