Pioneers Earn Hard-Fought Draw Against League-Leading Hoosac

The Pioneers put forth a disciplined and resilient defensive performance to earn a 0-0 draw against a strong Hoosac side. Facing one of the top teams in the league—Hoosac currently sits second in the PPL while Reserve holds fifth—WRA adjusted its tactics due to injuries, adopting a more defensive posture that proved effective throughout the match.

The Pioneers worked collectively to frustrate Hoosac's attack and limit scoring chances. Offensively, Reserve created several promising opportunities, with Tomas Estevez '26 and Leo Chu '27 coming closest to breaking the deadlock. In goal, Brennan Restorick '26 anchored the defense and recorded the shutout, highlighted by a critical late-game kick save that preserved the draw.

WRA continues play on October 26, 2025, facing Darrow in Woodstock, Connecticut.
