The WRA Varsity Girls Soccer team defended their home field on Wednesday night, earning a 1–0 victory over Notre Dame Cathedral Latin. The Pioneers struck in the first half and then held firm the rest of the way to secure the shutout win.

Junior Gabby Palache '27 provided the game's only goal, finishing a setup from classmate Maddie McNamara '27 to give WRA the edge before halftime. Sophomore goalkeeper Sydney Swiderski '28 anchored the defense with six saves, including several in the second half that preserved the clean sheet.

With the victory, the Pioneers look to carry their momentum into the weekend when they host Beaumont on Saturday, September 27, at 12:30 p.m.
