The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team hit the road on Saturday, October 18, for a competitive matchup against Erie Prep, ultimately falling 3–1 after a strong start.
The Pioneers opened the game with intensity, matching Erie Prep stride for stride. Zoe Kusuma '27 put WRA on the board with a well-placed finish in the first half, assisted by Grace Sutiklangwiharn '28, sending the teams into halftime tied at 1–1.
In the second half, Erie Prep capitalized on a pair of chances to pull ahead, but WRA continued to battle and create opportunities of their own. Goalkeeper Maya Vaden '26 recorded two saves, anchoring the defense with poise and communication.
It was a gritty performance from the Pioneers, who continue to show growth and resilience as they prepare for a quick turnaround. WRA will host Erie Prep once again on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m.
