The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team put forth a strong effort on Saturday, October 11, in a competitive home matchup against High Mowing, ultimately falling 2–1 in a closely contested game.
After conceding an early goal, the Pioneers responded with renewed energy and persistence. Gabby Palache '27 found the back of the net to even the score, finishing off a perfectly placed assist from Bridget Lardie '26.
In goal, Sydney Swiderski '28 was steady and composed, recording six saves and keeping WRA within striking distance throughout the match.
Despite the narrow loss, the Pioneers showed grit, composure, and continued improvement on both sides of the ball. They'll look to bounce back when they travel to face Erie Prep on Saturday, October 18, at 10:00 a.m.
