The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team battled to a well-earned 0–0 draw against Spire Academy on Thursday, October 9, in front of their home crowd.
It was a defensive showcase for the Pioneers, who displayed grit, organization, and composure throughout the match. Goalkeeper Sydney Swiderski '28 was outstanding in goal, recording six saves and earning the shutout.
The back line—anchored by Bridget Lardie '26, Lilly Morgan '26, Lydia Lockwood '26, Nikki Priban '29, and Aubrey Hauser '29—was stellar, consistently breaking up attacks and keeping Spire's dangerous forwards in check.
The draw marked another step forward for WRA's defensive unit and overall team chemistry. The Pioneers will look to build on this strong performance when they host High Mowing on Saturday, October 11, at 2:30 p.m.
