Pioneers Blank Pennington 3–0 at Mainline Jamboree

The WRA Varsity Boys' Soccer team turned in a statement performance on Saturday, September 13, defeating nationally ranked Pennington School (NJ) 3–0 at the Mainline Jamboree. The Pioneers combined disciplined defending with efficient finishing to secure their third straight shutout victory to open the season.

The scoring opened in the first half when Leo Chu '27 found the back of the net, giving WRA early momentum. After halftime, the Pioneers extended their lead with goals from Tomas Estevez '26 and Josh LeBlanc '28, with assists credited to Max Born '26, Nate Howard '28 (2), and Chu. While the offense delivered, the defensive unit was equally impressive. The Man of the Match was Mason Rodgers '26, after anchoring the back line and preventing Pennington from generating dangerous chances. Goalkeeper Brennan Restorick '26 recorded six saves to preserve the clean sheet.

In total, both teams registered nine shots, but WRA's efficiency in the final third proved decisive. The Pioneers' ability to neutralize a higher-ranked opponent highlights the team's versatility and toughness early in the season.
