In a spirited home match on April 21, 2025, WRA's Varsity Boys Volleyball team took on the Walsh Jesuit Warriors, ultimately falling in a close 1–3 contest.
The Pioneers started slowly, dropping the first set 14–25 but quickly turned up the heat in the second. WRA rallied point-for-point with the Warriors, narrowly missing the win in a nail-biting 25–27 finish. Refusing to back down, the team came alive in the third set with a 25–23 victory, driven by strong offensive play and steady teamwork. The fourth and final set remained tight throughout, with WRA fighting until the last serve before conceding 22–25.
Freshman Luke Kolencik '28 led the team in assists, setting up plays with confidence and precision. Jayden Kersh '26 and Scout Hollingsworth '25 powered the offense, leading the team in kills and keeping the pressure on the Walsh defense.
Though the match didn't go their way, the team showed resilience and promise in every set. With continued teamwork and standout performances, our Boys Volleyball program is building momentum for the season ahead.
