The WRA boys varsity volleyball team earned a hard-fought 3–1 victory on the road against the Brecksville Bees on April 13.

After dropping the opening set 17–25, WRA responded with resilience and composure. The Pioneers edged out a tight second set 26–24, then carried that momentum into a 25–21 win in the third. The fourth set proved to be a battle, with WRA closing out the match in dramatic fashion, 29–27.

Evan Sun '26 led the defensive effort with 16 perfect serve receive passes and 15 digs, anchoring the back row throughout the match. Ryan Bonomo '26 paced the offense with 11 kills and added 3 blocks at the net.

Luke Kolencik '28 directed the offense with 30 assists and contributed 2 aces, while George Dennsteadt '28 made his presence felt defensively with 5 blocks.

With the win, WRA continues its strong run of play and will return home for its next match against Hoban on Wednesday, April 13.
