The Western Reserve Academy Girls Varsity Basketball team closed out the 2025 portion of its schedule in emphatic fashion on Thursday night, earning a decisive 73–20 road victory over Cleveland Central Catholic.
The Pioneers' starting lineup of Kobi Marsden '28, Avery Childress '29, Ginger Ng '27, Lora Lingga '27, and Milou de Heus '28 set the tone from the opening tip, jumping out to a commanding 31–9 lead after the first quarter. WRA's energy, ball movement, and defensive pressure never let up, as the Pioneers controlled the tempo on both ends of the floor.
Collectively, the girls delivered one of their strongest all-around performances of the season, finishing with 20 team assists while shooting 40% from three-point range and 50% from the field. The balanced offensive attack and disciplined defense allowed WRA to steadily extend its lead en route to the 73–20 final.
Avery Childress led the scoring effort with 14 points to go along with four assists, two rebounds, and two blocks. Milou de Heus followed with 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Kobi Marsden contributed 12 points, six rebounds, five steals, and three assists. Tara Nachbar added 11 points and four rebounds, and Nina Bilic '28 chipped in nine points with three steals. Ginger Ng and Lora Lingga each made strong contributions across the stat sheet, helping anchor a complete team performance.
With the win, the Pioneers move to 4–7 on the season and head into winter break with momentum. WRA returns to action on Wednesday, January 7, hosting Linsly School (WV) at home.
