Western Reserve Academy wrapped up its weekend at the She Got Game Classic with a hard-fought 48–45 loss to King's Christian Collegiate (CAN). After a slow start on both ends of the floor, the Pioneers showed tremendous resilience, nearly erasing a 19-point deficit in a dramatic second-half surge.
King's Christian came out red hot, knocking down five three-pointers in the first quarter alone to jump ahead 23–10. WRA struggled to find offensive rhythm and trailed 33–15 at halftime.
Early in the second half, the Lions stretched their lead to 19, but the Pioneers refused to fold. Sparked by defensive pressure and improved ball movement, WRA went on a dominant 15–2 run to cut the gap to 35–30 late in the third quarter. From there, the game turned into a possession-by-possession battle.
WRA continued to claw back, trimming the deficit to 44–41 with under three minutes remaining. Despite generating several strong looks down the stretch, the Pioneers couldn't quite complete the comeback, and King's Christian held on for the narrow win.

The Pioneers return home on Wednesday, December 17, for their first home game of the season—a marquee matchup against last year's OHSAA Division I State Champion, Pickerington Central High School.
