The WRA Varsity Girls Basketball team defended their home court with a hard-fought 54-50 win over a tough Oakland Catholic (PA) team that entered the game on an 11-game winning streak. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading leads before the Pioneers pulled away in the final quarter.
Jordyn Steindl '25 (William & Mary commit) and Brooklyn Hall '26 were instrumental in securing the win. Steindl knocked down two crucial three-pointers in the fourth quarter, while Hall dominated in the paint, drawing fouls and converting 10 of 13 free throws. The Eagles fought to stay in the game, cutting the deficit to just four points late in the fourth, but WRA responded with clutch plays down the stretch to seal the victory.
