La Porte, Indiana — Western Reserve Academy faced a tough road test on January 25th, falling to La Lumiere School, 77-48.
UConn commit, Darius Adams, led the Lakers with 19 points. Anthony Thompson ('26) paced the Pioneers with 16 points, including four three-pointers, while CJ Stinson ('25) was the only other WRA player in double figures with 13 points.
WRA struggled offensively, managing just four points in the first quarter, which put them in an early deficit. The Lakers' defensive intensity made it difficult for the Pioneers to mount a comeback. Head Coach Matt Garvey acknowledged the uphill battle: "It's never easy playing from behind against a team like LaLu on their home floor, but we'll learn from this."
WRA looks to bounce back on Wednesday, January 29th, at home against Erie Prep. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM ET in the MAC.
