On September 3, 2024, the WRA Girls' Soccer team delivered a spectacular performance in their first home game on the new turf field, defeating Mapelton 9-1. The team dominated from the start, scoring six goals in the first half and adding three more in the second half. Ky Hau-Golden '25 was exceptional, scoring five goals and adding two assists, while Gabby Palache '27 contributed with two goals and one assist. Rafaela Plasa '25 also made a significant impact with one goal and two assists, and Mackenzie Foster '27 added another goal, with Maddie McNamara '27 providing one assist.
The team's cohesive play and effective use of their training were evident as they created numerous scoring opportunities and moved the ball effectively to break down Mapelton's defense. It was a fantastic atmosphere and a strong showing for the team. They will look to maintain their momentum in their next game against Hiland at home on September 6, 2024.
