The first half saw an evenly matched struggle, with Maximo Born '26 scoring the first goal for WRA, leveling the score at 1-1. However, the second half proved challenging for the Pioneers as St. Ignatius capitalized on a restart, scoring the decisive goal from a corner kick.
Despite the loss, WRA displayed resilience with Caydence Robinson '25 making four key saves to keep the team competitive. The Pioneers managed three shots in total, with two on target, while St. Ignatius created more offensive opportunities, registering nine corners and eight shots, six of which were on goal. WRA will look to bounce back as they prepare for their next match at home against Spire on Saturday, September 28.
