On September 16, the WRA Field Hockey team faced off against Shady Side Academy in a spirited contest that ended with a score of 2-6. The first half proved challenging, as Shady Side scored five unanswered goals, bringing the halftime score to 5-0.
In the third quarter, WRA responded with renewed energy, with Lydia Stropki '26 finding the net. Maya Kinney '26 scored the team's second goal in the fourth quarter, narrowing the gap to 6-2 by the end of the game. Despite their efforts, WRA couldn't overcome the deficit in the final period. The team looks to bounce back as they prepare for upcoming matches against Walsh at home on September 19 and Hawken on September 21.
