Pioneers Earn Gritty 3–2 Road Victory Over Mercersburg

The WRA Field Hockey team traveled to Mercersburg on Saturday, September 27, and came away with a hard-fought 3–2 win, showcasing teamwork, persistence, and strong execution on both ends of the field.

The Pioneers found their rhythm early, capitalizing on set plays to generate offense. In the second quarter, Tory Hadrys '27 opened the scoring off an assist from Amaya Gomez '28. Gomez continued her stellar play, adding two more goals in the third and fourth quarters, both off corner opportunities, to secure the victory for WRA.

The entire team displayed excellent communication and chemistry, connecting passes and maintaining pressure throughout the match. Their discipline on corners proved to be the difference, as all three WRA goals came from well-executed set pieces.

It was a complete team effort and a confidence-building win for the Pioneers, who will next take the field on Thursday, October 2, when the team travels to Kent Roosevelt.
