Western Reserve Academy's Girls Varsity Basketball team put on an intense display in their November 16 match up against Example Academy National (IL), narrowly losing 55-56 in a game that went down to the wire.
The game was a constant battle, with both teams trading leads throughout. Brooklyn Hall '26 had a standout performance, leading WRA with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Jordyn Steindl '25 added 13 points, while Islay Moore '25 contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Moore's clutch three-pointer with 15 seconds remaining gave WRA a one-point lead, setting up a dramatic finish.
However, Example Academy responded with a jump shot in the final six seconds to claim the narrow victory, leaving WRA just shy of completing an impressive road win.
WRA will regroup and return to action on November 17 for another away game against Example Academy Varsity.
