Girls Soccer Wins Nail Biter to End Season on a High Note

Yesterday, the WRA Girls Soccer team concluded their season on a high note with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over High Mowing at home. The match marked an impressive finish, as it was the first year the program participated in the Midwest Prep Showcase, allowing them to compete against other prep schools. The team ended the weekend with a perfect 2-0 record, showcasing their strong performance throughout the season.

Ky Hau-Golden '25 scored the lone goal of the match, marking a significant milestone, as it was her final goal in her high school career, bringing her total to 76 goals. The play began with a diagonal pass from Gabby Palache '27 to Maddie McNamara '27, who set up Ky for a beautifully executed chip shot from 25 yards out. WRA's defense, led by strong teamwork, managed to keep High Mowing off the scoreboard for the entire match, securing a clean sheet. The team's success was a testament to their dedication and effort, and they will surely miss their seniors and are grateful for their commitment to the program.
