The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team hosted Revere on Saturday, August 30, in a competitive non-conference match up that ended in a 2–1 defeat for the Pioneers. All three goals came in the first half, with Revere edging out to a slim lead before both defenses tightened up in the second half to keep the scoreline unchanged.
Bridget Lardie '27 provided the lone WRA goal, finishing off a play created by Zoe Kusuma '28 and Gabby Palache '28, who combined for the assist. In goal, Matilda Lawlor '27 recorded one save, while Sydney Swiderski '29 stood tall with seven saves to keep the Pioneers within striking distance.
Despite the result, WRA showed resilience and battled hard to the final whistle. The team will look to bounce back on Saturday, September 6, when they host Columbus Academy at 2:00 p.m.
