Girls Soccer Wins Big on Senior Night

Last night, the WRA Girls' Soccer team celebrated Senior Night with a commanding 5-0 victory over Lake Erie Prep at home. The Pioneers dominated the first half, leading 4-0 at the break. Senior Brenna Pethel opened the scoring by netting a rebound off a shot from fellow senior Ky Hau-Golden. The second goal came shortly after, with sophomore Maddie McNamara finding the net following a free kick from senior Rafaela Plasa, showcasing the team's ability to capitalize on set pieces.

Maddie McNamara continued her stellar performance by adding two more goals, while Ky Hau-Golden contributed with one goal and an assist, rounding out an impressive offensive display. Sophomore Gabby Palache and Rafaela Plasa also provided key assists, demonstrating the team's strong collaboration on the field. Defensively the goalkeepers, junior Matilda Lawlor and freshman Sydney Swiderski ensured a clean sheet, making crucial saves and maintaining pressure on Erie Prep. With this decisive win, WRA looks forward to their next challenge against High Mowing at home on October 12.
