In their second Midwest Prep Showcase match, today, the WRA Boys Varsity Soccer team played to an exhilarating 3-3 draw against Hoosac School (NY). The match started off evenly, with both teams scoring once in the first half—Sagar Patel '25 netted WRA's goal with assists from Sully Buch '25 and Maximo Born '26. The second half continued to deliver excitement, as Charles Elmore '25 scored an unassisted goal, followed by Maximo Born '26 adding another to the tally. 

Caydence Robinson '25 earned Man of the Match honors for his stellar performance in goal, making four crucial saves that kept the game competitive despite Hoosac's advantage in corner kicks (8-2) and shots (12-7). A dramatic moment came when WRA thought they had scored the winning goal just seconds before the final whistle, only to have it called back for an offside, sparking debate over the accuracy of the decision. The Pioneers will look to build on this intense game in their next match at Andrews Osborne Academy on Saturday.
