Pioneers Rally Past Athletes in Action on the Road

The Western Reserve Academy Boys Varsity Basketball team earned a hard-fought 75–69 road victory over Athletes in Action on Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers faced early adversity, trailing 32–27 at halftime after a competitive opening half. Despite the deficit, Reserve stayed composed and adjusted well in the second half, tightening its defense and finding offensive rhythm at key moments.

Western Reserve flipped the momentum after the break, executing efficiently in transition and converting crucial possessions down the stretch to secure the comeback win.

Anthony Thompson '26 led the charge with 26 points and 7 rebounds, delivering another strong all-around performance. Daniel Voca '27 provided a major offensive spark, pouring in 20 points, while Breylon Webb '26 added 12 points to help pace the balanced scoring effort.

The Pioneers will look to carry their momentum west as they travel to Los Angeles to face Fort Erie on February 12.
