Pioneers Hold Off Kiski in High-Scoring Home Win

The Western Reserve Academy Varsity Boys Basketball team continued its strong run of form Friday night, defeating Kiski 93–83 in an exciting home contest.

The Pioneers came out with great energy and offensive rhythm, building a 49–35 lead by halftime behind balanced scoring and strong execution. Reserve consistently found quality looks and controlled the pace, allowing them to maintain their advantage throughout much of the game.

Kiski mounted a challenge in the second half, but the Pioneers responded with timely baskets and key defensive stops to secure the double-digit victory.

Anthony Thompson '26 delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists to lead Reserve. Asher Suardini '27 added 19 points and 7 rebounds, providing a major presence on both ends of the floor. Henry Fox '27 contributed 14 points, while Luka Ioannisci '27 chipped in 13 points to round out the balanced offensive effort.

The Pioneers will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to face Athletes in Action on February 8.
