The Western Reserve Academy wrestling team traveled to Alliance High School over the weekend to compete in the Top Gun Invitational Tournament, facing a deep and competitive field.

Sophomore Carmello Kolb '28 delivered a standout performance, going a perfect 5–0 on the weekend to capture the 120-pound weight class championship. Kolb's consistent dominance throughout the tournament highlighted his continued growth and strong form as the season progresses.

Also competing for the Pioneers, Hwan Jung '26 finished the weekend with a 2–2 record at 144 pounds, gaining valuable experience and battling through a challenging bracket. Blaise Bennett '26 wrestled tough at 175 pounds, finishing 0–2 against quality opposition in a demanding tournament environment.

The Pioneers now turn their focus to their next competition, traveling to West Virginia for the Frank Ferguson Brooke Classic on Saturday, January 24.
