Pioneers Bounce Back with Statement Win Over Perkiomen

The Western Reserve Academy boys basketball team responded in a big way on Sunday afternoon, earning a 97–86 home victory over Perkiomen School.

WRA set the tone early with an explosive first half, pushing the pace and sharing the ball to build a 52–37 advantage at the break. The Pioneers' balanced offensive attack and consistent pressure on both ends of the floor allowed them to control the tempo and keep Perkiomen on its heels.

The second half brought continued energy as WRA maintained its lead and answered every Perkiomen push with timely baskets. Anthony Thompson '26 led the way with a dominant performance, finishing with 22 points and nine rebounds. Cam Hailey '26 added 19 points and six assists, orchestrating the offense and keeping teammates involved.

Additional scoring came from Dom Sprague '26, who chipped in 13 points, while Breylon Webb '26 and Donovan Carney '26 each contributed 10 points, with Webb also pulling down five rebounds.

With the win, the Pioneers build momentum as they return to action on Wednesday, January 14, hosting Spire Post Grad in their next matchup.
