The Western Reserve Academy varsity basketball team continued its strong stretch of play Friday night, earning a 101–78 road victory over Canada Top Flight.
WRA came out sharp on both ends of the floor, pushing the tempo and moving the ball effectively to build an early advantage. The Pioneers carried a 50–34 lead into halftime, setting the tone with balanced scoring and consistent defensive pressure.
That momentum carried into the second half, as WRA maintained control and continued to extend the lead behind an efficient offensive attack. Anthony Thompson '26 led all scorers with 24 points, while Asher Suardini '27 added 17 points, providing a spark throughout the game. Cam Hailey '26 delivered a strong all-around performance with 16 points and six assists, helping orchestrate the offense and keep the Pioneers in rhythm.
With the win, WRA builds further momentum as it closes out a busy road swing. The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, January 10, traveling to face Hargrave Military Academy.
