Western Reserve Academy athletes delivered a series of standout performances on Wednesday at Walsh Jesuit, with several Pioneers hitting the podium and achieving personal records.
Addie LeVan '25 had a stellar day, capturing two gold medals in the 1600m (5:41.63) and 800m (2:34.91), showcasing her strength in middle-distance events.
In the sprints and hurdles, Makayla Riles '26 won the 100m hurdles in commanding fashion with a time of 16.99 and added a 3rd-place finish in long jump (15'4.5").
Timothy Ledrich '28 was outstanding in the field, winning the boys long jump at 19'2" and placing 2nd in the 200m with a blazing 24.10—the second-fastest 200m in recent WRA history.
James Johnston '27 and Brendan Bennett '28 swept the top two spots in the boys 1600m, with times of 4:52.83 and 4:56.82 respectively. James also placed 3rd in the 800m less than 30 minutes later, clocking in at 2:12.65.
Rian Arora '26 had a breakout performance with a monster PR in the 1600m (5:08.95), continuing to impress with his development this season.
On the girls' side, Mia Maze-Ingram '25 and Janne Luley '27 earned 2nd and 3rd place in the 200m, with Janne also grabbing 4th in long jump.
Nico Iteka '25 had a major personal best in the 800m, finishing 1st overall with a time of 2:07.58—a big leap from last season's mark of 2:14.
Lisa Flower '27 had a strong performance in the 400m, clocking a PR of 1:11.65.
WRA's team energy, spirit, and support were on full display throughout the meet, making it a memorable day for the program despite tough team scores (Girls: 3rd, Boys: 3rd).
