The WRA Boys Varsity Basketball team capped off a strong weekend with a hard-fought 87–77 victory over St. Jude's Academy, securing their third consecutive home win. The Pioneers combined efficient shooting with unselfish play to hold off a talented St. Jude's squad in a high-scoring contest.
Anthony Thompson ('26) delivered a dominant performance, scoring 31 points and grabbing 7 rebounds while shooting an impressive 62% from the field. Cam Hailey ('26) orchestrated the offense masterfully, posting a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists. Rares Trandafir ('26) also recorded a double-double, contributing 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Luka Ioannisci ('27) added 11 points and 6 rebounds to round out a balanced Pioneer effort.
WRA's composure down the stretch and strong execution in transition proved to be the difference as they closed out the win before the home crowd.
The Pioneers return to action on Thursday, November 13, when they host Erie Prep at home.
