Western Reserve Academy got back on track last night with a commanding 93-66 win over Andrews Osborne Academy. Anthony Thompson '26 spearheaded the effort, delivering an exceptional 30-point, 10-rebound performance. Torr Sorensen '25 added a double-double of his own with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
CJ Stinson '25 stuffed the stat sheet again, tallying 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Dom Sprague '26 chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Off the bench, Thomas Hunt '25 made a strong impact, hitting three 3-pointers and grabbing 5 rebounds.
Though AOA featured a sharpshooter who knocked down nine 3-pointers, the Pioneers controlled the game with their dominance on the boards, outrebounding AOA 52-21. WRA maintained the lead from start to finish and captured their first victory of 2025 in the Memorial Gymnasium.
Next up, the Pioneers travel to Dayton, Ohio, for the prestigious Flyin' to the Hoop invitational. They will face Delaware Hayes, a tough opponent featuring a Kent State commit, on Sunday at 1:15 PM.
