On September 20, the WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team faced a tough opponent in Hawken, ultimately falling in straight sets with a final score of 0-3. The Pioneers put up a strong fight, narrowly losing the first set 22-25 and continuing to battle hard in the second set, which ended with the same score. Despite a valiant effort, WRA was unable to turn the tide in the third set, losing 21-25 and sealing the match in favor of Hawken.
Highlighting the team's performance, Delaney Pittinger '26 was recognized as the player of the game for her exceptional contributions on the court. Livia Farian '28 also shone with an impressive 13 service points, showcasing her skill and determination. The match demonstrated great teamwork and chemistry among the players, setting a positive tone as they prepare for the Maple Heights Tournament on Saturday, September 21.
