Hudson, OH – Western Reserve Academy's boys varsity basketball team remained undefeated at home with a 99-88 victory over The Linsly School on Wednesday, December 4th. Reserve never trailed during the game and built an early 20-point lead in the first half. Though Linsly's second-half zone defense caused some challenges, clutch plays in the final minutes secured the win for WRA.
C.J. Stinson ('25) and Anthony Thompson ('26) led the charge, each scoring 22 points. Thompson also grabbed 14 rebounds to notch another impressive double-double. Trey Cady ('24), Dom Sprague ('26), and Torr Sorensen ('25) all contributed double-digit points, highlighting the team's depth and balanced scoring attack.
Linsly closed the gap late, but Reserve's composure proved key. Greg Ballard's ('25) timely 3-pointer, along with critical free throws and rebounds in the final minutes, sealed the victory and maintained WRA's unbeaten streak at home.
The Pioneers now look ahead to a challenging weekend at Spire Academy. They'll face Spire's Post-Grad team on Saturday at 12 PM and AOA on Sunday at 4 PM.
