The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Revere, keeping the Pioneers undefeated at 1-0-1 on the young season.

Revere struck first in the 23rd minute, but the Pioneers quickly answered. Just 13 minutes later, Maddie McNamara '27 found the back of the net with a perfectly placed low shot to even the score. Ceci Montalvo Fas '28 provided the assist on the equalizer.

WRA's defense was outstanding throughout the match, with Nikki Priban '29, Tessa Freeman '29, Aubrey Hauser '29, and Montalvo Fas '28 all making key contributions to keep Revere's attack in check. Goalkeeper Sydney Swiderski '28 added seven saves on the night to help preserve the draw.

The Pioneers will return home for their first match on Pioneer Field this season on Wednesday, September 2, at 7 p.m., when they host the Padua Bruins.
