WRA earned a hard-fought 3–1 victory over Cuyahoga Falls on April 2 in a competitive home match.
The Raiders came out strong, taking the opening set 25–18 before dropping a tightly contested second set, 25–27. WRA regrouped and responded with poise, winning the third set 25–21 and closing out the match with a 25–23 victory in the fourth.
It was a close match throughout, with momentum swinging on both sides. Luke Kolencik '28 played a key role in orchestrating the offense, leading the team in assists while also contributing five aces. His impact was especially felt in the third set, where he sparked a nine-point scoring run that helped WRA regain control.
Ethan Ntatin '29 delivered in key moments, finishing with nine kills and sealing the match with a decisive ace in the fourth set. Defensively, Evan Sun '26 anchored the back row with nine digs, helping WRA withstand Cuyahoga Falls' pressure.
WRA will look to build on the win as they travel to Berkshire on Saturday, April 4.
