The WRA boys prep lacrosse team came up just short in a hard-fought contest on April 19, falling 10–9 on the road to Culver Academies.
WRA started strong, building a 4–2 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 8–4 by halftime. The Pioneers maintained control through the third quarter, holding a 9–7 advantage heading into the final frame. However, Culver mounted a late comeback, scoring three unanswered goals in the fourth to secure the narrow victory.
Cole Narkiewicz '27 delivered a strong performance in goal, recording 12 saves and posting a 55% save percentage. Offensively, Kellen Bladon '27 and Darcy Muegge '27 each tallied three goals to lead WRA's scoring effort.
Despite the result, WRA showed resilience against a strong opponent and will look to bounce back in its next game on Wednesday, April 22, at home against St. Ignatius.
