Western Reserve Academy Boys Varsity Lacrosse dropped a 7–4 contest on the road against Severna Park on March 18.
The Pioneers found themselves in an early deficit, trailing 2–0 after the first quarter and 5–0 at halftime, as Severna Park controlled the pace and capitalized on early opportunities. WRA showed resilience in the second half, beginning to find rhythm offensively and tightening up defensively.
Graham Ewing '26 led the Pioneers with two goals, while Tano Auriuso '26 and Steve VanBuskirk '27 each added a goal. Logan McDougal '27 contributed as a facilitator with two assists, helping generate key scoring chances as WRA mounted a fourth-quarter push, outscoring Severna Park 3–0 in the final frame.
Despite the late surge, the early gap proved too much to overcome. The Pioneers will look to build on their second-half momentum when they return home to face St. Michael's College School on Tuesday, March 31.
