Girls Soccer Defeats Cardinal Mooney 4-1

The WRA Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Youngstown to take on Cardinal Mooney High School and returned victorious after a standout performance.
After the first half, the girls were up 3-0. The second half was more even and the score ended 4-1.
Goals came from Maddie McNamara '27, MacKenzie Foster '27 and Ky Hau-Golden '24 (two goals). Assists were contributed by Hau-Golden, Gabby Palache '27 and Rafaela Plasa '25.
Coach Tara Bowen offered comments on the game, saying, "the team did a nice job of moving the ball around and keeping possession. We were able to finish some opportunities early and goalkeeper Matilda Lawlor '26 got out of the first half with zero goals against. We look forward to seeing the continued growth of each individual and the team as a whole."
The girls next travel to take on Smithville on Wednesday, August 28.
