The WRA Varsity Girls Basketball team continued their impressive season with a commanding 56-33 victory over Lakota East High School at the She Hoops Ohio Thrill in the Ville tournament in Columbus on December 7.

The Pioneers opened the game strong, jumping to an 11-2 lead before the Thunderhawks narrowed the gap, trailing 13-8 at the end of the first quarter. The defensive intensity from both teams kept scoring low in the second quarter until WRA found their rhythm. Key transition layups from Lilah Turnbull '25 and Brooklyn Hall '26, along with a three-pointer by Nuala Connolly '26, pushed the lead to 29-15 at halftime.

An explosive third quarter led by Hall, Turnbull, and Jordyn Steindl '25 gave the Pioneers a commanding 46-21 advantage heading into the final frame. Highlights included a three-pointer by Sheridan Oberhand '25 and an and-one conversion by Emerie Davis '27. WRA maintained their momentum to close out the win.
