The WRA boys and girls swim team faced off against Stow at home last week for their first swim meet of the season. A great start to the season, there were many notable achievements from various swimmers! Kalen Mulligan '27, Gina Rubiano '25, and Roxi Rubiano '28 made Easterns B cuts in the first meet! Alex Qian '27 had a personal best in the 100 free. Both Max Siegl '26 and Lisa Flower '27 had great times in the 100 backstroke, and Lisa beat her personal best by 4 seconds! The boys 200 free relay including Anri Edilyan '26, Tucker Marshall '25, Noah Roth '27 and Kalen Mulligan '27 went a 1:39.23 making the Easterns A cut! Swimmers Nina Tse '27 and Jeffrey Zhou '28 both placed 3rd in the 500 freestyle event. Although both boys and girls lost, the team kicked off the season with determination and strong performances, setting a solid foundation for the rest of the season. With multiple personal bests, Easterns cuts, and standout efforts the team showed great promise and resilience!
