On September 30, the WRA Girls' Soccer team faced NDCL in an away match that ended in a 2-2 draw. The Pioneers found themselves down early but quickly responded with two goals to take a brief 2-1 lead. Ky Hau Golden '25 opened the scoring with a stunning shot from about 40 yards out, demonstrating her striking prowess. The second goal came from a well-executed play, where Gabby Palache '27 chipped the ball over the defense to find Golden, who finished neatly at the back post.

Despite their efforts, WRA couldn't maintain their lead, as NDCL equalized with a goal before halftime, leaving the score at 2-2. The second half saw the Pioneers continue to press for a win, creating several scoring opportunities, including a close chance in the final minute of the match. However, they were unable to capitalize, resulting in their first draw of the season. Missing two key players, the team showed resilience and teamwork as they prepare for their next game against Shady Side at home on October 4.
