The WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team opened their season on the road with a dominant 3–0 victory over Lake Ridge Academy on Monday, September 1. The Pioneers controlled the match from start to finish, winning in straight sets (25–8, 25–8, 25–10).
Nicole Neal '26 powered the offense with an impressive 15 kills, while Riley Brainerd '28 set the tone from the service line with 4 aces and also led the team in assists. At the net, Cameron Van Dyke '29 made her presence known with 2 strong blocks to keep momentum firmly on WRA's side.
The energy inside the gym was undeniable. The JV squad brought nonstop cheers from the stands, and parents and fans created an electric atmosphere that fueled the team throughout the match—even on the road.
WRA looks to carry this momentum into their next match on Wednesday, September 3, when they travel to face Ellet.
