Western Reserve Academy Indoor Track Shines at NEOITC Meet

On January 31, Western Reserve Academy's Indoor Track team competed in the NEOITC Series Black Division Meet at Spire Academy. The team delivered remarkable performances, with numerous personal records (PRs) and top placements.

Meet Highlights:

  • Mika '26: Sprinting her way to success, Mika secured 3rd overall in the 60m dash with a time of 8.21, tying her personal best for the season.

  • Janne '27: Demonstrating exceptional versatility and resilience, Janne captured 1st place in the long jump (LJ). She also impressed on the track, running a strong 200m in 28.1 seconds and finishing 8th overall.

  • Addie '25: Competing in her first-ever 3200m race, Addie delivered one of the most thrilling performances of the evening. Her impressive time of 12:10 earned her 2nd place in a race that came down to the wire.

  • Hunter '25: Achieving a significant milestone, Hunter posted a personal record in the 1600m with a time of 5:03.

  • John '26: John Jackson showcased his speed by earning two PRs in both the 200m and the 60m.

  • Sophia '27: Continuing her development, Sophia achieved a PR in the 400m.

  • Yuna '26: Yuna made an impressive breakthrough in the 1600m, clocking a time of 6:19 and cutting more than 15 seconds off her previous best.

  • Caroline '27: Competing in her first-ever 1600m, Caroline delivered a solid debut with a time of 6:17.

  • Rian '26: Rian set a new personal benchmark in the 800m, adding another PR to the team's achievements.

  • Katherine '25: Katherine demonstrated her growth by achieving a PR in the 200m.

  • Jayden '26: Jayden capped off his strong performance by earning a PR in the 200m and securing 6th overall in the long jump.

The meet at Spire Academy showcased the team's determination, resilience and competitive spirit. With each athlete pushing their limits and setting new records, Western Reserve Academy's Indoor Track team continues to embody excellence and promise for the season ahead.
