Nothing sounds sweeter than WRA's victory bell and nothing feels better than bringing home the hardware!  The Pioneers came in first at the Garfield Heights tournament this weekend, bringing their record to 10-2. 

The team defeated St. Martin, John Hay and Garfield Heights to win the tournament. Mia Maze-Ingram '25, after moving to the middle hitter position, was named MVP in rounds one and two for her 10 kills and aggressiveness at the net. Nana Kyei '24 was awarded this honor in the finals for her impressive leadership, ball control, and overall excellence during the match. While she had 16 assists in the first two matches, no stats were available for the championship game.

The Pioneers played well as a team, with everyone contributing during the tournament. Scores vs St. Martin were 25-19 and 25-17. In second round vs. John Hay, the scores were 25-13 and 25-11. In the championship, WRA defeated Garfield Heights 25-14 and 25-17 on their home court.

The Pioneers look forward to hosting John Adams on Tuesday and Cornerstone Christian on Thursday.
