Coach Liam McMahon brings a dynamic coaching background to his role with the Girls Varsity Basketball team at WRA. With a track record of success across various programs, Coach McMahon is dedicated to fostering growth both on and off the court.

His coaching career began at Stonehill College, where he served as an Undergrad Assistant for the Men’s Basketball team, contributing to their run to the NCAA Division II Elite 8 in 2016. He then moved on to the Tilton School, where he was an Assistant Coach for the Boys Basketball team, helping lead them to NEPSAC AA Finalists in 2018 and Champions in 2019. Coach McMahon further honed his skills as the Head Coach of the Girls Basketball team at Williston Northampton School.

On campus, Coach McMahon also works in College Counseling, is an advisor and resides in Ellsworth 3 Dorm as a dorm resident. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Mt. Holyoke College.

Coach McMahon’s philosophy centers on developing student-athletes through hard work and relationship building. He aims to help players become the best versions of themselves both on and off the court, emphasizing personal growth alongside athletic development.
