Coach Barry has coached across multiple sports for the last ten years. At WRA, she serves as Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. Her time as a student at WRA afforded her the opportunity to push herself out of her comfort zone. She played sports growing up, but wagers that she might not have continued through high school had it not been for WRA’s 100% athletic participation. She loves to give back that same experience that she had as a student and encourages her players to display good sportsmanship, communication skills and act as good teammates.Â
After graduating from Western Reserve Academy in 2010, she played goalkeeper at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, a member of the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Division III level. Before returning to WRA, Coach Barry taught and coached at independent schools in Massachusetts and Virginia.Â
As the chair of WRA's science department, Coach Barry seamlessly integrates the discipline, resilience and teamwork learned on the field into her academic leadership. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence in both sports and education, helping students and athletes alike develop effective communication, creative problem-solving skills and resiliency.
On and off the field, Coach Barry is an engaged member of the WRA community. She lives on campus with her dog, Frankie.
